This is a reproduction of the removable military transmission cross member found on 88" Series 2a and 3 vehicles used by the Australian Army. The Australian Army introduced this modification to simplify and hasten the removal of the transmission and transfer case. It's a great mod that cuts an all day job down to an hour!
Our cross member can be used on all Series 1, 2, 2a and 3 short wheel base vehicles.
To fit this item, remove your old cross member, weld the included brackets to the chassis bolt in the cross member with the included bolts.
Made from high quality steel and fabricated in our workshop this cross member will fit just like the original and will pass any inspection.
