This is our reproduction of the Australian Army's removable Transmission cross member found on their Series 3, 109" vehicles with the 2.6L 6cyl engine. The Australian Army introduced this modification to simplify and hasten the removal of the transmission and transfer case. It's a great mod that cuts an all day job down to an hour!
Our cross member can be used by anyone wanting to upgrade their S2, S2a or S3 109" with a removable cross member.
Our cross member can be ordered with or without the transmission tie rod bracket welded in place, please select from the drop down menu.
To fit this item, remove your old cross member, weld the included brackets to the chassis bolt in the cross member with the included bolts.
Made from high quality steel and fabricated in our workshop this cross member will fit just like the original and will pass any inspection.
The part is finished in red oxide primer.
