Our square nut cage is a reproduction of the original cages that retains the 1/4" UNF square nuts located on the Land Rover Series 2 and 2a footwells. These are the nuts for the floor panel screws.
These parts are fabricated in our workshop on tooling made by us. The cages are formed from thicker steel than the originals for extra strength and a longer life.
This type of captured nut was commonly found on all types of period vehicles and may be suitable other (non-Land Rover) projects. This cage will accept a nut with dimensions of 1/2" x 1/2" x 1/4".
